by Steve Esquire

If you suffer from back pain, you are not alone. As many as not 8 out 10 people suffer from some sort of back pain. You may suffer from a dull, constant ache to a sudden sharp pain. Although there is a wide spectrum of back pains, in general there are two groups: acute back pain and chronic back pain. Acute back pain is typically is a temporary condition and you may recover within a few days or even a few weeks. On the other hand, chronic back pain, lasts for longer periods of time. Unfortunately, with chronic back pain the expected healing time for the identified cause may persist even after the cause has been treated. In time you either become more accustomed to the pain or you can seek relief from the pain.

Typically, there are many potential cures for back pain ranging from acupuncture, massage to acupuncture to pharmaceutical drugs. Most unfortunately, the most widespread relief of back pain is taking pharmaceutical drugs. However, there are alternatives. The next most common relief of back pain is massage therapy. Many studies are pointing out that massage is effective for both acute and chronic pain. Unlike pharmaceutical drugs, massage is a totally natural remedy. In many cases, your back pain is caused by the misalignment of bone, tissue, muscle, and ligaments. In these cases, dulling the pain certainly will not solve the problem. On the otherhand, massage works on elongating, stretching, and soothing the muscles and ligaments in a natural way.

If you are suffering from back pain, you may find a massage chair is what you need. It is truly amazing how technology has advanced and massage chairs have extraordinary capabilities. Just push a button and enjoy a Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Swedish massage, or even a Sports massage. The premier shiatsu massage chairs scan your body to find your acupressure points. Shiatsu acupressure massages help enhance your natural healing based on the meridian pathways that connect throughout the body.

You can find some massage recliners that incorporate the Swedish massage technique. Thie Swedish or Classic massage technique uses flowing, long, strokes to stretch and elongate tight muscles. Select a Deep Tissue massage and enjoy a penetrating, soothing massage. With the Deep Tissue technique, the massage cair program will start more superficially and then begin penetrate layer by layer. This approach relieves aching, sore, and tired tendons and muscles. You can enjoy these massage therapies with the touch of a button with a shiatsu massage chair.

The premier massage chairs also incorporate heat. The benefit of heat is that heat relaxes tight and sore muscles and reduces pain. Heat is usually better than cold for chronic pain - such as from arthritis - or for muscle relaxation. The best massage recliners can provide full body heat in the chair back, the seat and the footrest. These shiatsu massage chairs are very therapeutic and can provide substantial relief from back pain.

Another great feature of the many shiatsu massage chairs is a built in MP3 player for music therapy. Music therapy is a natural therapy that has been found to reduce the disability, anxiety, and depression associated with chronic pain. Music helps you to relax and let your stress and anxiety go.

There is so much technology that is being incorporated into the best massage chairs. This technology can help you to really reduce the pain and anxiety associated with back pain. The massage chair is a great compliment to helping to relieve your acute or chronic back pain. You can seek a massage therapist, which is a great way to go. However, you need to go at a certain time and place. A massage chair on the other hand, is always waiting for you. The best massage chairs can provide a full range of massage therapies at the touch of a button and in the comfort of your own home. If you got back pain, your best friend is a shiatsu massage chair.

Downsizing - The New Home Improvement

Posted on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 3:28 am

by Eric Jilson

Downsizing one’s home or living arrangements has become an increasingly popular choice among families recently, with rising costs and generally troubled and uncertain economic times looming over everyone’s head at present. Not only will you reduce your rent or mortgage payments, but you’ll find that your utilities can be reduced as well. Moving closer to work or to commonly traveled points can also drastically cut your gas consumption and costs.

Mortgage or rent payments are the largest single expense that families have, accounting for as much as 30-50% of a household’s gross income. Scaling back on your living arrangements naturally affords the greatest degree of potential savings. You may even find through selling your old home that you can virtually pay off a smaller one in one fell swoop, cutting out mortgage payments and long term interest rates entirely.

If you’re struggling for disposable income or even just to make ends meet, this is certainly a great option. Sure living in a large space is nice, but for the potential stress it can save and other options it can open up for you, is it really that important to have an extra 1000 square feet? How many of those rooms do you really use? Do you need a basement that big or a yard that big?

Real estate taxes are another major payment that home owners must make, and while these will never go away, whether your home is fully paid or not, a smaller home, and in a potentially less lucrative area can cut those taxes in half or more.

A smaller place will also cut utilities costs. It takes twice the amount of heat or conditioning to warm or cool a house twice as big as another, and these are no small savings. You find that a cheaper, older home may not be as well insulated though, so you may want to look into this immediately upon moving to maximize your potential utilities savings right from the start.

Beyond the actual amount of money saved, investing or using that money for other ventures could increase the savings even more. Even savings of just $1,000 a month being invested into a low risk stock or other source could equal additional income of as much as $15,000 a year. That could equal into quite a few vacations, season tickets, new electronics and other luxuries, just for living in a smaller space.

You’ll also find that there’s less work to do around the house, which the stay at home member of the family will appreciate. Fewer windows to wash, less carpeting to vacuum or flooring to wax etc. will all lead to more time in other pursuits.

That’s not so say this is right for everyone. Some people may find the downsizing difficult after being used to more, may really like the extra space or just the social status that comes along, or that they feel comes along with a bigger or more modern place. If moving to an apartment or condo, you’ll also need to consider whether pets are allowed should you have some, and whether the presence of close neighbors and potential noise will bother you.

It could very well be that one member of the family will approve the idea while others may not, of course they are not having to spend time doing a transfer credit card loan. If this is the case with you, mention all the positives mentioned here plus any more you can thing of, and let them know all the wonderful things you’ll all be able to do with that extra money, and you may not find it so difficult to sway them.

Review of Sanyo HEC-DR7700K Shiatsu Massage Chair Recliner

Posted on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 5:08 am

by Steve Esquire

Sanyo entered the massage chair industry just a few short years ago. They have the name, but they lack the retail store distribution. The biggest customer complaint is finding one to try. This is extremely difficult with most distribution channels pretty locked up. Sanyo has pushed more into internet dealers. Shiatsu massage chairs have been on the market for 30 years, so Sanyo is a late entrant. Their HEC-DR7700K Zero Gravity Massage Chair is their flagship model. This shiatsu recliner retails for about $5,000.

When purchasing a shiatsu massage chair, the company that stands behind it is also important. You first should choose a chair to fit your needs. But do not forget, the company tmust service it when issues arise. Customer service is critical when service is needed. Manufacturers vary and how they support the product also varies. Bigger is not always better. Our experience is relatively short times to resolve issue, which is important. They have a call center located in the US for us English speakers which is open 24/7 for warranty issues.

Warranties that are longer and more comprehensive protects the customer and provides additional value. Whereas, shorter and less coverage gives the customer less confidence in the manufacturer. One would think Sanyo would have one a superior warranty. However, compared to the competition, Sanyo’s warranty is just plain weak. What is Sanyo’s warranty? 3 years on the roller mechanism, 1 year labor, 1 year parts. Sanyo did step up for in-home service for the first year. When your paying a $5,000 price tage, the warranty should be much stronger.

Officially, a zero gravity chair must recline back so your knees are above your heart. The HEC-DR7700K Zero Gravity shiatsu massage chair meets this requirement. In the zero gravity position, your weight is evenly distributed across your back. This takes the weight off your spine. This is a comfortable position. One can certainly relax before and after their massage.

The HEC-DR7700K has a built in Stiffness Detection Sensor based on lie detection technology. The Stiffness Detection Sensor can locate stress points on your back. Bby monitoring changes in your perspiration and pulse rate, it can pinpoint areas in need of attention and focus the massage in those areas.

The Physical Shape Sensor adjusts the massage rollers to your body shape. The rollers adjust to your body shifts during the course of the massage. It is an interesting feature for the more squeamish among us. Personally, I find I adjust my position to the fixed rollers when I want to hit a particular part of my back.

Sanyo’s exclusive GK rollers systems can literally “reach out” and touch you in 3 dimensions. Your neck and shoulders are in for a real treat as the rollers come over the top of your shoulders. This shiatsu massage recliner has the first 3 dimensional massage functions. Perfect to massage your neck and shoulders. Sanyo needs to be congratulated in breaking new ground into the 3 dimension robotic massage chair!

Ultimately, it is the massage that makes or breaks the chair. The Sanyo DR7700K has an arsenal of 83 combination manual massage courses, 5 automatic massage courses and 4 full body automatic courses. Choose from Grip, Shiatsu, Kneading, Tapping, Kneading & Tapping and various stretches. If that does not satisfy your needs, wait until your Sanyo shiatsu masseuse shows you her jointed massage head unit. This jointed massage head pushes outward to strongly grip your shoulders from above like a real masseuse. Now, that is what I am talking about. If you can find this chair to try, it is very satisfying. Sanyo’s flagship is a good, strong shiatsu massage chair recliner.

Oriental Rug Making

by Ed Gillespie

One industry thriving in both the East and West involves Oriental Rugs. Hand-made rugs originated as a home-based industry. More designs and varieties emerged along with machine-made rugs.

Beautiful But Expensive

From their first manufacture, Oriental rugs have been considered the best of the best. Due to the expense and quality associated, Oriental rugs have always been a “royal choice” and have decorated structures ranging from palaces to bungalows to high-end residences. The rugs seem cast a magic spell with their majesty and uniqueness.

Varieties

Oriental Rugs appear in many varieties woven in places such as: Afghanistan, Iran, Nepal, Tibet, India, China, Pakistan, and the Caucasus regions. Even though all are Oriental Rugs, each country has unique styles and designs.

Studying the Iranian rugs will allow us to amplify the differences. Persia was how this country was previously known. Therefore, Iran produces the modern Persian rugs and was responsible for the antique Persian rugs as well. The majority are large and awkward, yet beautiful. The earliest rugs were made of only sheep wool; subsequently synthetic fibers were also used. The majority of Persian rugs are priced on the high end.

Western markets adore Oriental rugs created in Nepal and Tibet. Because these rugs are so flexible, they can be easily moved from one place to another. People are drawn to these rugs even though they appear to be simple.

Jaipur and Kashmir are where most Indian rugs are made. Sometimes art themes from Pakistan are emblazoned on the rugs. Afghan runs generally are imprinted with themes of battles and war, so are often referred to as “was rugs”. Chinese rugs are sometimes imprinted with cultural art and Asian symbols. The Caucasus region also has Oriental rug weavers.

From region to region, Oriental rugs may display specific patterns and themes which can add to their beauty. The rugs can have interesting designs that range from old to new. Oriental rugs’ more well-known brand names are AminCo, Feizy, Fette, Kalat, Lofty, Momeni, Nichols, Samad, Tamarian, Trans-Ocean, and 828 International.

New Trends

Oriental rugs by design fulfill the expectations of the foreign users and markets, due to new trends with the vast growth in exports. Oriental rugs have to be different and stand out to maintain popularity and increase sales.

Rugs can be expensive but they are well worth the money. You can think about them as a lifetime investment. Rugs should be purchased from a reputable retailer who can assure you the product is original and was not produced with child labor.

Whether shopping for your home or workplace, you will find a wide variety of rugs to choose from, ranging from area rugs to classic Oriental rugs.

Steps To Starting A Small Business

Posted on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 4:59 am

by Zach Allred

The steps to starting a small business online can be systematically approached. First determine weather you will be selling your own product or service or someone else’s. Since you will be building your business online you can also join a business opportunity such as an mlm and do extremely well.

Something you can do which will help you stick with your new business is to think of something you love doing and finding away to make money at it. Personally, I am a tax accountant and I enjoy helping people by giving them free tax advice. If you follow my links at the bottom of this page you will be taken to my website where I have some pages about tax advice. There is also other ideas for an online business that you can check out. My point is to do something you enjoy and the money will follow.

The next step is to register a domain name. Godaddy.com is as good as any but there are hundreds of places you can buy a domain name from. Just search google for domain names. Try to choose a dot com since these are most common and you clients will be able to identify with a dot com easier. Also try to pick a domain name which describes your company with your company name as part of the domain. What would Yahoo be if their domain name was fungames.com Instead their domain name is yahoo.com

Next you need to create a website. Like me you may have never created a website so naturally you do not think you can. Well you can quite easily with the right tools. At the bottom of this page are some links to my website that I created for free in a few hours using a program by Yahoo. You can access it at web.com. Creating a website is key for online success. I tried to avoid doing it but now that it is done I wish I had done it at the very beginning.

You are well on your way to becoming the next internet millionaire so what is missing? Ah…traffic. You could have the cure for cancer and it would do you little good if you do not have people coming to your website to find out about it. The best way to generate traffic that I am aware of is writing articles. It is free and they will pay dividends for years to come as they move through cyber space. You can also use these same articles to add pages to your website which is very important as your customers like content.

Well if you agree that writing articles is the best way to go then the next step is getting them out there so people can begin reading about your product or service. A service I use is called Unique Article Wizard. You can find their link on my website. With this tool you will be able to submit your article to up to 9,000 different article sites and directories. In no time you will rank high on search engines for the key words you have chosen.

The last step I cannot stress enough is to write and submit an article two or three time a week. If you are consistent you will have long term success.

In conclusion, the steps to starting a small business online are to first decide what you are going to do. Next you need to register a domain name and then build a website. After this you need to market this website and the best way I know of is through writing articles and then submitting them using Unique Article Wizard.

Easy Wall Repair Guide for your Wall

Posted on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 4:37 am

by Rob Carlton

It is extremely easy to make holes into a wall, however it is extremely difficult to fix a hole if you already have one. Actually it’s not that difficult, there are some easy steps that you can follow to make the job easy.

1. Measure the size of the hole

You need to work out the size of the hole that you want to repair as different sizes of holes require different methods of repair. If it’s a very small hole then simply patching it with some compound is enough. When it has dried then you should sand back the spot for an even finish.

If the hole you want to repair is a bit bigger, perhaps as big as a light switch box then you should fill the hole with some newspaper before you apply the compound. This means that you don’t need to use as much compound.

For holes that are around 30cmx30cm you should use hot patching. This means that you fill the hole with some drywall.

For very large holes in your wall you will need to treat them as new areas that need recovering. Start by removing any nails and screws that are sticking up through the plasterboard. Cut a new piece of dry walling and secure it into place, then tape and finish as normal.

So first thing to do is to measure the hole and then see what method is suitable.

2. Preparation

When you’ve found the right technique to fix your hole then you need to make sure you have everything you need in order to fix it. You will need some specific supplies in order to complete the project. When the compound is mixed you need to work quite quickly so that you don’t risk it drying too quickly.

If you are filling a large hole then make sure that the drywall is already cut to shape before you mix the compound. Make sure you double check any measurements so that everything is correct.

3. Don’t Over Spackle

If you have a large hole then simply applying compound isn’t good enough because there’s nothing for the compound to stick to. This patch will almost certainly crack or fall out in the near future. You should apply as little compound as possible and make sure it is smooth and even especially around windows. Applying too much compound means that you will have a long time sanding down the excess!

4. Be patient

When you are trying to complete any project then you need to be patient as it won’t all be possible over night. If you try to sand the compound before it is completely dry then you will make a lot of mess and you might have to start again from the beginning. You need to consider that you need some time to relax, you can’t spend all of your time on these projects.

5. Sanding and Finishing

The compound might look like its smooth, but it’s not. You need to sand it the best you possibly can. There might be very small bumps which you don’t notice. Sand down the area so that the wall is completely smooth before painting.
