People play poker because it is something they enjoy doing and they enjoy playing. Texas Hold ‘Em is a game of money. You should not enter a game because you need or think you are going to make money.

The fact is that most people don’t win. If you need to make money you would probably enjoy something that involves far fewer risks. Sometimes there is a player at the table that you think maybe will drive you up a wall.

Sometimes there is a player at the table that you think just might drive you up a wall. Nothing can be more annoying than having to sit next to that person. So, make sure that you are never that person.

There are certain rules to follow and things that often do or do not make sense. You have to follow the rules anyways. Well, that is if you want people left who are willing to play with you.

The first rule is not to react while you play cards. Have a stone face when you look at your hand. Do not let anyone read you at all.

If you are going to let people read you then you should just play all your cards face up. Never let anyone see your hands while a hand is in play. There may or may not be technical regulations you’ll breach.

There may or may not be technical regulations in place. So think about it for just a minute. People will believe that you’re crazy for beginners if you show your hand, and planned to stay.

If this happens as a simple “accident”, better say that you’re sorry a lot. There are some other stupid and rude things that you should never do. Fold your hand, sit back and watch the flop.

Then react so that everyone knows what happened. Again, it can potentially destroy a pot by giving some players an advantage. Again, this will make people angry.

Again, it can potentially ruin a pot by giving some players an advantage. These are just a couple of rules to follow. Know this so that you are at least humble about what you are doing and don’t make your opponents want to walk away from the game because they can’t stand playing with you anymore.
